Hot Honey Chicken Bowls
Ingredients: (Serves 2-3)
For the Hot Honey Chicken:
2 chicken breasts, diced
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon black pepper
¼ teaspoon chili flakes (adjust to spice preference)
¼ cup honey
1 tablespoon hot sauce (or more to taste)
1 tablespoon butter, melted
1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
For the Bowls:
2 cups cooked rice (white, brown, or cauliflower rice)
½ avocado, sliced
½ cup shredded carrots
¼ cup sliced cucumbers
¼ cup chopped green onions
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
Extra hot honey drizzle (optional)
Instructions:
Step 1: Cook the Chicken
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Add diced chicken, garlic powder, paprika, and black pepper. Cook until golden and fully cooked.
Step 2: Make the Hot Honey Sauce
In a small bowl, mix honey, hot sauce, melted butter, apple cider vinegar, and chili flakes.
Pour over cooked chicken and toss to coat. Simmer for 1-2 minutes until sticky.
Step 3: Assemble the Bowls
Divide cooked rice into bowls.
Top with hot honey chicken, avocado, carrots, cucumbers, and green onions.
Sprinkle with sesame seeds and drizzle extra hot honey if desired.
